Sunriser is on display on the Dutch boatshow (Hiswa) this week. The dealer asked us to be on board to tell our personal story. Or how he described it: “You share the dream, we sell the boat”. This year there are a record number of catamarans on show, so finally also here the concept of sailing a catamaran is lifting off.
This was our first time to do a show and the comment we got the most was: “this is exactly how I would outfit my boat”. So many people have the same dream to sail away and be independent of harbours. Wonderful to share this dream with so many people.
For us as owner the show had several advantages (besides the fact that Sunriser has never been this clean before after cleaning it for two days). All suppliers also came to see the ship and gave some final tips. The suppliers that visited us were: MG (batteries), Topdek (floor), Rainman (watermaker), Highfield (dingy), MRVS (solar frame), Vrolijk Watersport (accesoiries, dyneema), GlobalM (tracker) and (the developers of) Victron.
The developers and the product owner (the beauty) of Victron VRM software also installed their latest development: an ethernet connection between the Victron 48 volt Cerbo and the Garmin screen.
With MG (batteries) we discussed the possibilities to limit the charge of the Lithium batteries. We would like to have them around 75% charged, but in high summer they go to 100% a lot with our amount of solar. So I would like some ‘slider’ to set the right percentage. The request was understood and they have put the change to the ‘must have’ list.
Dank voor de enthousiaste rondleiding vandaag, Jos!
Veel goede aanpassingen die wij ook gaan toepassen. Nu nog even een paar maanden wachten op onze Astrea.
Die paar maanden zijn zo voorbij.
